Mobile Knowledge is a dispatch provider, operating out of Ottawa, Canada, with over 180 customers, throughout North America, as well as a significant share of licenses in the London Black cabs market.
The turn of the decade marks a new chapter for iCabbi – one that will be defined by global ambition and by the success of our customers as we pursue our vision of putting taxi companies at the centre of mobility.
This involves both organic growth and growth through acquiring partners who align with this vision. We are very pleased to say that Mobile Knowledge is the first company iCabbi has invited to join the iCabbi Group under our parent Renault M.A.I , and we are excited to be working with a partner with huge passion for the taxi industry.
We’ve been very impressed with the skillset and deep industry knowledge of the team at Mobile Knowledge.
We are exploring synergies between Mobile Knowledge and iCabbi. Earlier this month, a team from iCabbi, including CEO Gavan Walsh, Chief Strategy Officer Mick Tope, and Co-founder Bob Nixon, travelled to Ottawa to begin this process.
We had a hugely productive few days together and are confident that Mobile Knowledge compliments and can support our ambition for the North American market.
Mobile Knowledge operates as a very strong business at present, with a robust platform for serving its customers. As such it will be business as usual for Mobile Knowledge for the foreseeable future.
An Executive Board has been set up for Mobile Knowledge, with Bob Nixon taking up the position of Chair. Fellow Directors from iCabbi on the MK board are Mick Tope and Darla Worsham, Chief Accounting Officer for North America. They’re joined by MK’s CEO Kevin French and CFO/COO Francine Barbe.
We would like to thank all of our customers and partners for their well wishes and support, and we also wish to thank those who have helped to secure this partnership deal, namely Alan Dunne and his associates at Capnua Corporate Finance.
